Someday

Change is never easy, 
We fight to hold on, and we fight to let go.
I'm leaving you and the thought of you behind, 
Because I just need to clear my mind. 
I want to lose my memory so I no longer think of you, 
I want to go so far so I no longer have to see you.
Someday you'll miss me like I missed you,
Someday you'll understand that I was the only one that truly cared.
One day you will miss me, 
For the hug every time I gave.
One day you will need help, and I will not be there.
I gave you all I had, 
I tried to make it last.
But now all we have
are memories from the past.
Someday you'll search for me inside of everyone you're with, 
But, I won't be found.
